On July 29, we celebrated 7 years of impact.
It has been seven years of standing with individuals and families living with muscular dystrophy, raising awareness, providing support, and giving hope.
As TMDCN’s Community Engagement Coordinator and Virtual Administrator, it has been a true privilege to serve throughout this journey.
Over the years, we have taken awareness campaigns to several states across Nigeria, educating healthcare workers, nursing mothers, teachers, market women, and communities about muscular dystrophy – its early signs, available care, and the importance of compassion and inclusion.
Our commitment has remained unwavering. We have provided mobility equipment, supported small business start-ups, created awareness, reduced stigma, and built a community where no one has to face this journey alone.
The impact is evident. More families are informed. More healthcare professionals can recognise the signs earlier. More individuals and families are receiving the support they need.
This year, we reached a significant milestone as TMDCN joined the TREAT-NMD Global Registry Network. This achievement strengthens opportunities for research collaboration, improves healthcare planning, supports future clinical trials, and contributes to the development of better treatments for people living with neuromuscular diseases.
None of this would have been possible without the vision, dedication, and leadership of our Founder/CEO, alongside the incredible TMDCN team whose passion continues to drive our mission forward.
To every donor, volunteer, partner, supporter, and well-wisher – thank you. Your generosity, encouragement, and belief in our mission have made these seven years possible.
Here’s to seven years of service, hope, and impact – and to many more years of transforming lives.
Cheers to us! 🥂
