Ubakala Health Centre Awareness

On 8 July 2026, TMDCN conducted a Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Campaign at Ubakala Health Centre in Umuahia South Local Government Area, Abia State.

Led by Celine Amuzie, TMDCN Community Engagement Coordinator, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to engage with healthcare workers, nursing students, and nursing mothers on the nature of muscular dystrophy and the importance of recognising its early signs. The enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and eagerness to learn demonstrated a growing commitment to improving awareness and support for individuals and families affected by these conditions.
